While the Business Aviation industry is linked globally and effects regularly impact nations equally, the European Business Aviation Association (EBAA), with the help of EUROCONTROL and WingX, has found in a survey heterogeneous effects on the industry. Since mid-March, the freedom of travel is selectively restricted, resulting in differences between national industries.

The greatest impact on the industry was recorded in April with measures to contain the so-called coronavirus. France, as the leading market in Europe, has seen a decline of around 80% since the beginning of the year, until it levelled off at around -33% in August. The United Kingdom’s industry has experienced a similar fall in April, whereas the recovery has been timid, remaining at around -37% in August. Germany, on the other hand, has recovered from a fall in April of approximately 70% and returned to “normal” in July.
